Alex is a phenomenal lawyer and helped me make it through one of the most agonizing periods of my life where I was facing ongoing and escalating harassment from a nightmare landlord and was being threatened constantly with unlawful entry and unlawful eviction. I never in my life had to resort to dealing with the legal system before and had little idea what to expect, but Alexs experience, professionalism, and compassion made the ordeal the least stressful it could reasonably be and made me feel more at ease knowing that he was confident he could find me a resolution. Im incredibly thankful for getting to work with Alex on my harassment case and strongly recommend him to anyone.

Ive known Alex for years through his involvement with the Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association. Soon after Alex opened his office on Castro, my commercial lease was coming up. Alex reviewed the lease and helped me understand the legalese I was signing. Im grateful for this service as I would have missed a few points which required further negations. A year later, I again needed Alex to provide this same service as my company leased another commercial space. I appreciate appreciate how calm, focused and knowledgable Alex is.In July of 2023, we had a very disturbing situation with a customer. In over 25 years in business, wed NEVER had a customer threaten death and bodily injury to our employees. Harass us with bogus on line reviews. As a small business, our #1 job to protect, and nurture our staff. SFPD was of no help what so ever, so I reached out to Alex. Alex knew exactly what to do to protect our staff. Within a few days, Alex had submitted paperwork, handled a subpoena, and prepared our reluctant staff to testify. The following week is obtained a Workplace Violence Restraining Order. This gives us 18 months, of peace from this ex-customer.Alex is smart, charming, skilled, kind and so easy to work with. I highly recommend them to handle your legal issues.

I cant recommend a lawyer highly enough! I highly recommend Alex. I stuck with him after he left ODL. Alex helped me with a bad landlord situation with a magnitude of issues. I chose to stay with Alex because of their expertise, kindness towards me and my family and their clear cut way of explaining everything and making me feel important and taken care of. Alex took over all communications with the landlord and their team and lawyers when things hit the fan. I could always count on Alex to be available to answer any questions and concerns quickly and precisely, I always felt supported. Alex helped me get everything I could without going to court even though being fully prepared to take it that far if I so chose. They were with me every step of the way and with me every interaction I needed to be present for with the landlord and their team. I fully recommend and couldnt be more thankful for Alex a gem of a lawyer who is kind and caring and tough on bad landlords, like I said I couldnt be more thankful to find such a wonderful person to help me and my daughter and to be able to call them a friend.

Alex was able to help me with my legal name change as a trans person for free, which (given trans peoples vulnerability, financially and otherwise) is an invaluable service. They gave me detailed instructions each step of the way and were readily available if I needed them. They also helped me learn I was eligible for a fee waiver, which saved lots during the process. Alex is doing excellent work for this community.

We highly recommend Alex. We interviewed 3 lawyers to help us with a landlord that was leasing us a house with multiple issues. We chose Alex because of their expertise with renters rights and their clear way of explaining them. Alex took over all communication with the landlord and her lawyer. On our end, Alex was always available to answer questions quickly and clearly, we always felt supported. Within a few weeks, they helped us get everything we needed without going to court.
