Let me start off by saying that Phil is an amazing lawyer. I was injured badly due to being rear ended by a sprinter van last year in December. Ive talked to multiple lawyers, hired a couple, and dealt with the worst. After getting nowhere with my case and feeling helpless, a friend recommended me to Phil. Phil was the only lawyer that took the time to hear about my story and made me feel like I mattered. Phil made sure that I got the proper medical care right away and introduced me to great doctors. Phil is also an excellent communicator and made sure that I had all my questions and concerns answered. Had a rear end accident on the freeway with my kids. One of them had concussion and my other kids had a lot of back pain I myself was not doing so well. Phil helped us with sending us to the right doctors and chiropractor. He took care of our case and were good taken care of. I had a terrible accident with a food delivery driver. The car from the other side of the road lost control of his car on a turn and slammed into my car. My car was totaled, the other car went into flames.Initially, I had no idea of what to expect from the accident as I was just expecting to be recompensated for my car. I had no intention of seeking legal action. I contacted the other sides insurance company and it was just a lot for me to manage and did not want to make any wrong decisions.It was from this point, I was recommended to Phil. Id like to start off by saying that Phil is incredibly passionate about what he does, he’s very kind-hearted, and he genuinely cares for his clients.I was struck by a hit-and-run driver, who was fleeing from the police in a stolen vehicle with no insurance. Yes, wild. This all happened on a Monday night; I was stressed, I was injured, my car was severely damaged, and I was borderline depressed. Thankfully, I was referred to Phil by a few friends and he took over the investigation from start to finish. Phil moves FAST, he’s VERY detailed, and he will prioritize YOU over everything else. Phil and his team even organized my chiropractic care, the appraisal/repairs for my car, and arranged the rental car for me. Phil would also check in occasionally to make sure that I’m making a full recovery. Not that he has to, but he genuinely cares and I’d even consider him family at this point.Given the circumstances of my car accident, Phil was able to negotiate an incredible sum to be paid out by my insurance. It made my day when he was able to share the news. Most attorneys would have settled earlier in the case for significantly less. First and foremost, I would like to truly thank Phil and his team, specifically Jennifer, for their compassion and diligence throughout this entire 23 month ordeal of ensuring I received the proper treatment and dealing with the insurance companies, of whom were extremely difficult to deal with and purposely delayed much of this case.My friend and I was involved in a horrible accident when this reckless driver ran a stop sign and t-boned my vehicle. After the accident, we went to another law firm in Rosemead and after a roughly 15 minute consultation, I realized that they were more concerned about the other partys policy limit and the monetary value of the case. That firm also had the audacity to bill us $600 for this consultation.Thankfully, we were referred to Hess & Nghiem. For our first consultation, Phil drove from his office in Santa Ana to meet us in Alhambra, which isnt a short distance. And after several minutes of speaking with him, it was very clear that Phil genuinely cared about our well-being and ensured we received the proper treatment for our injuries. Every review you are reading about Phil is true. I was iffy on pursuing a lawsuit because of very little knowledge I had of the process. He advised that I just need to focus on healing from my injuries while he did the rest. Glad to say he kept his word! Getting into an accident is stressful and out of one’s control sometimes. Honestly I was nervous to take on an attorney because I was already overwhelmed by everything involving the accident but Phil really put me at ease. I didn’t have much damage on my car so the other side’s insurance company was saying there was no way I could be hurt. My back was killing me after the crash and all the insurance company kept saying was that I was making up my pain. Several attorneys declined my case since there was not a lot of visible damage to my car. Phil accepted the case and resolved it for over six figures—basically the max I could get from the other side’s insurance company.During the case, Phil always kept me well-informed and always made sure I knew what the next step was on my case. A cool thing about the firm, is that Phil’s partner, Ed, is a former insurance defense lawyer. I had a pretty minor accident(rear-ended)back in August so I didn’t even think about contacting a lawyer(bc usually lawyers don’t take small accidents), but the other party’s insurance doesn’t want to pay the full amount of my medical bill since the accident was a minor. So I had to find a lawyer in order to pay at least the medical bill. And this lawyer Phill was just amazing that he would love to help me without getting anything in return, and he did take care of it in about a week, and he even got me some more on top of that. Phil is simply a great lawyer who had debunked my pre-conceived ill notions of lawyers in general. In late 2015, I was involved in an auto accident where I wasnt at fault. Although I was treated at Kaiser, I was absolutely peeved after receiving a notice from the Rawlings Group several months later, Kaisers outsourced subrogation contractor, stating that I owed them money for services provided by Kaiser. I get it, this is standard industry protocol, but it nevertheless is an annoying experience at the end of a painful ordeal.Having never heard of the Rawlings Group, I wasn’t sure if they were legitimate. Phil came highly recommended by a good friend and although I was a bit apprehensive at first (you know, lawyers), I was pleasantly surprised at the way he handled the situation. All I wanted was to find out the legitimacy of the claim, but after some thoughtful explanation, Phil had convinced me that he could at least help reduce the bill with just some patience on my part. Surely enough, after several discussions and email exchanges, Phil was able to reduce the bill to half of what I owed. He handled the situation flawlessly, and with a friendly, approachable attitude the entire time. He was quick to respond whenever I had questions, which was relieving because I’ve dealt with previous attorneys who were downright painful to get a hold of. I was at a loss to see who I would contact to represent me since my case was going to be difficult although it wasnt my fault at all. I had contacted a few lawyers who gave me generic responses and I wasnt sure what to do. Im so glad I contacted Phillip because he was eager to hear my case, and then assured me that hes going to work on the case right away so it can be resolved. I know Phillip is busy as a lawyer, and that my case wasnt the only case he worked on. But whenever he had a chance he contacted me to let me know of the progress because sometimes the other party just took too long to respond to certain inquiries. I never felt like Phillip was a stranger; he was a like a friend who came to help me when I needed help.
