Karthik Krishnan was my lawyer at a Los Angeles Superior Court, Van Nuys case. He represented me in a very difficult felony case, and was able to put both dismissal of the felony charges and a mental health diversion on the negotiating table. The latter was chosen. He was excellent through-out the case, showing great empathy, knowledge, and know how. He has kept me updated through all the numerous court dates, and well informed of my choices and prospects. I am very pleased with the services I received from attorney Karthik Krishnan, he worked on my DUI case in which we prevailed. He managed to avoid a license suspension, a court conviction, an most importantly he manage to get the arrest sealed in Ventura county. David Burdick4/27/23I believe one of the most difficult things Ive ever been faced with was to source out a solid reputable attorney to defend me in a criminal case. My prayers were answered when I came across the Shouse Law Group and in particular attorneys Karthik Krishnan and Leo Manalo.In my initial contact with Karthik he was able to explain the law regarding my case in simple terms. He took the time to reference legal documents while talking with me over the phone to support his legal position. I immediately felt comfortable with him as he guided me through the process that would take place to address my case in court. I found Karthik to be very knowledgeable about the law involved in my case and in navigating the court system. Throughout the entire process I had a lot of questions and Karthik was very quick to respond to my phone calls. When my court date came I was represented at the LA Superior court in downtown Los Angeles by attorney Leo Manalo. I was very nervous during the court hearing but Leo put my mind at ease.They were able to get my probation terminated as well as getting the charges reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. I was ecstatic to say the least. Leo asked the judge for a hard copy of the minutes which is something they were not that accustomed to doing, I guess, but did agree that if I came back in a couple of hours they would provide that for me. I was charged with a DUI at the Lancaster court house and my BAC was .15.I carry a Class A Commercial Drivers License for my job and I was extremely worried that my career would be in jeopardy. 8 mos ago I was pulled over and arrested for suspicion of DUI. After doing some research on the internet I came across SHOUSE law group. I liked the reviews so I called them. They put me in touch with Leo Manalo. I was a first offender and my BAC was 0.9 but what complicated things was the fact that I had been speeding (70 in a 35) and was driving kind of crazy. I didnt think I had a chance at getting a plea deal. Getting my DUI reduced to a wet/reckless was very important to me for professional reasons. Leo came up with a strategy which involved hiring an expert which was an additional cost. But it paid off! I ended up with a wet/reckless, 2 years of probation (instead of 3) and 12 hours of wet/reckless class (instead of the 30 hour DUI class). Shouse Law Group and Karthik Krishnan turned a criminal charge into a traffic ticket.The day I was flying out of LA to move, I was pulled over and arrested, and charged with DUI. I was not under the influence of anything - my breathalyzer was 0. The evidence was police observations of my driving, and the report of a Drug Recognition Expert - DRE - who failed me on part of the Field Sobriety Test and reported I was under the influence of illegal drugs.I do take medications, which I had unintentionally packed and shipped two days prior. I did some research and found out I was experiencing a well-known discontinuation syndrome. And, when more specific UA tests were done, the DREs report was completely wrong (no evidence of ANY illegal substances).The prosecutor, however, felt the observations of my driving were enough to keep the charges the same. Not after Karthik kept pushing back, even going to the supervisor.
